The Cyberrotica Squad was formed from a number of agents that formerly worked for MI5. The group was formed following operation 'Dragonfly' in which a number of high ranking individuals from many countries were implicated in corruption. The aftermath of this operation led to a number of countries setting up similar bureaus whose duties were to protect the general, adult public from dangers arising from their use of the internet. The term 'Cyberrotica squad' is not its official name but was coined in a series of emails following operation 'Dragonfly'.

Adam

Adam: Is the leader of the team. Formerly with MI5, but following his unofficial involvement in operation 'Dragonfly' was asked to head the new group. Before working in MI5, he attained the rank of Major in the army and for a number of years served with the Special Air Service Regiment.

Gavin

Gavin: Second in command. He served with Adam in the same regiment in the army and then followed him into MI5. He was Adam's first choice when recruiting his new team.

Jamie

Jamie: He was recruited by Adam to join the small team that he led in MI5. This followed an incident where Jamie hacked into Adam's personal computer from his own system which he had cobbled together from discarded equipment found at his local computer shop. After tracking him down, Adam realised his potential from his under priviledged upbringing and mentored him in his future education until he was ready to join the secret service for his knowledge of computers.

Heather

Heather: Cambridge graduate, Heather, was recruited by MI5 for her expertise in computer software. During her time at MI5, she worked with Adam on numerous occasions and formed a particular friendship with Jamie and was of paramount importance to come on board in the formation of the new squad. She did not take much persuading, as she like Jamie were not conventional in attitude and appreciated the challenge the formation of the new team would allow her.

Julie

Julie: Recruited by Adam following operation 'Dragonfly', in appreciating her courage and intelligence. Before joining the team, Julie, had lived a normal life. She worked as a buyer in a company following her graduation from university. At that time she would never have dreamed that her life would change so drastically. She like the rest of the team holds a great allegiance to Adam following her rescue.

Anna

Anna: A Swedish national and close friend of Julie. She like Julie was recruited by Adam following operation 'Dragonfly', for much the same reason. At the time of recruitment Anna was offered the opportunity to be repatriated but chose to join the team and remain with her friend. Like her friend Anna's life had changed so much that she welcomed the new challenges membership of the team would bring her.

Henry

Henry: The oldest member of the team, also known as Mr Gadget. He is the communications and surveillance expert of the team. Once a target has been identified, they would not be able to cough without him knowing about it.

Jenny: Psychologist and profiler.

Robert

Robert: Another member of the team who was not previously with MI5 but served with Adam in the army. Robert after leaving the army was a fitness and self-defence trainer, working for Adam on a freelance basis in training agents. When the new team was formed, Adam saw the opportunity to retain Robert, both for his training ability and the skills he learned in the Special Air Service.
